These things will happen..over the past 3 decades I have a couple two year stretches of things like you've been experiencing for the past couple months. Don't let it affect your poker or you may end up losing some serious coin. These things come to an end..but it may seem like eventually rather than sooner. I got thru my sickingly bad streaks by looking at enough of my decisions to know that my game wasn't suffering. When I felt it was suffering I'd take time off.
Pos 1) Was there a way that you could have hit fewer of his checkers. You may have more experience with this position-type than I do, but rarely do I want more than 9 of my opp's checkers back (OK OK I'd be happy with 10 or 11 if I could get him to put all of the remainder on his ace pt)
Pos 2) You got fucked..but on another day you'll pitch nickels and end up with a BG. Have you rolled this out a couple dozen times by hand to see how often Ray, after hitting can roll it home ? It may be more often than you think.
Pos 2a) You recubed to 8 in a 4 roll bearoff with 58% GWC. This is not a mistake that a WC player sb making. Ask yourself why this happened and if the fact that you felt the need to bury Ray in this prop entered into your decision process and caused you to press incorrectly with the cube.
Pos 3) You got dry fucked and afterwards he asked "was it good for you, honey ?" When you're running bad, these small % losses seem to crop up only on the big match decisive cubes.
Pos 4)Probably a decent score based double by them under the circumstances. Rory..you're too good to pass this...
