This is obvious to me, but is it provable?
If there is a position where both you and your opponent would do better not to cube a position where you have market losers, then the proof unravels. Or am I misunderstanding something?
Of course one wonders whether such a position can be reached from the starting position. I doubt it could be reached via perfect checker and cube play. It is not obvious to me that one cannot be reached via perfect cube play and imperfect checker play.
This position is illegal, but 2-ply calls it optional double/take. 4-ply calls it D/T by .000007.
