There is not too much value to holding both points. If the possible eventual shot comes from a 5x roll then it would be several rolls in the future and you would have cleared the point by then anyways. If the shot comes from a 62 then jumps the 10 point anyways. So only real shot value is the extra 6 shots obtained if the 61 or 63 is rolled leaving the shot. There is some value to blocking 11 also.

The downside to not clearing it now is you may need to play uncomfortably if you get some 1's in next few rolls. I'll take that risk. I'll probably clear it next turn anyways so the immediate blocking of 11 is the primary consideration to me. 8- 3 8 - 4 is my play.
