I have to admit I'm not as patient. I've only been around the (diminishing?) scene for a few years and there has been incessant clock talk. Then I google it and note that you (ABT ppl) have discussed it for decades on end. Get it the fuck over with already, everyone knows overall it's best for the game and the only real drawbacks are minor short term issues. I dare say nobody from the championship division will quit playing or not come to a tournament because they're clocked if the time controls are 2/15. (though as mentioned before, I guarantee at least one person who won't be attending some events if they aren't clocked)
I also don't care for the slap on the wrist you ran out of time 2pt penalty. At 2/15 my mother could finish a match and she moves by counting each triangle to move her pieces!
I think the lack of clocks is demi-illusional too. I have a clock, Bob has a clock, Bill has a clock, Chuck has 3 clocks, Neil, I don't know if you own one but know you would at the drop of a hat along with many other ppl here. The directors wouldn't need to provide as many clocks as it seems.
The arguments for clocks far outweigh any arguments against. I think we need to just get it done, where's a good Nike commercial when I need it.
