Nice feedback, Bob. My reason for adding 1 min to both side comes from the analog clock days to minimize gamesmanship. You bring up a very good point concerning what then will be Crawford after a penalty.

It does seem MUCH simpler to simply have flagging mean loss. I expect I'll ammend my proposal to that tomorrow, but want more feedback, especially from the silent majority here.

Noting that with 15 sec delay time, you can cock the dice a couple times and still not have any time tick away, and that when players flag, it is near the end of a match anyhow so 2 pts is likely decisive it makes sense to keep that rule the same and not dick around with penalty points.
