In Response To: My clock proposal for ABT events for 2009 and beyond (neilkaz)

I have never played with a clock nor do pretend to understand how much time allowance there is for a comfortable pace of place; not very fast or very slow. I know when I play I tend to ask myself what are the 3 candidate plays to consider? Then I make my play. There is a pause, but not enough of a pause to irritate my opponent. Would my style of play be condusive to clock play without having to play underpressure of clocking out?

My next concern is for handicapped or aged seniors where their motor skills come into question. Clearly I understand there is a difference in dramatic slow play and where a person is trying to play at a moderate speed but handicapped or motor skills forces them to play slower than one would like. In this event, is there enough clock time to accomodate this person? If not, is there a thought in mind for this consideration?
