I clear the 6 point. It will hold the board longer, and though it will leave some shots, due to the open 5 and 4 points those shots won't allow Stick to win even if he hits. Mostly you will just run around the board while he tries to enter his other checkers.

Clearing the 5 point leaves shots on 61 and 51 in addition to the big doubles, and clearing the 4 point while the safest for 1 turn leaves a gap that is harder to clear for a longer time. Clearing from the back eliminates the problem of gaps and holds the board the longest making it tough for White to run off the G.
