Apparently I am not allowed to win the prop and the argument both? You guys keep trashing me over the prop and INSIST it is a pass. I won 45% of 20 games and I had to LOSE 5 out of the last 6 to do that bad. Correct?

You keep saying things like "I lost 5 of the last 6" or "I lost 3 gammons in the last 6 games", these statements are pretty meaningless. It doesn't matter when you lose them, you're supposed to lose a certain amount of gammons and while overall it was high for a 20 game session you try to augment it by saying it was "3 in 6 games". It's like when they give baseball stats at a home game, they always try to give stats for the home players that make it sound like they're doing good "he's hit in 3 of his last 5 games" which loosely translated means "he's playing for shit lately and has probably hit in 3 of his last 9 games but we're gonna stop at 5".

I do insist it's a pass, why when it's brought up if I think it is would I say otherwise? You winning it in the short term means nothing other than you have some extra cash in your pocket. Being right doesn't always pay off, esp. in backgammon or poker.

To revise the facts of the position a GNU rollout showed it to be a pass, Snowie showed it to be a pass, I think it's a pass and unless Neil, Matt, Bob, etc.. have changed their collective backgammon minds on the results of the exhaustive 20 game rollout we did, they believe it to be a pass too. Couple that with what I would hope you would agree to, your side is much harder to play than my side, my ER might jolt up to a 6.0 but yours is likely to bolt to a 12.0, if the ERs were reversed then it's a monster take, as it stands, I still stand beside monster pass.

Those of you whom are so inexperienced as to not understand match management, might TRY taking a roll in these positions....

When I post a problem I already have the rollout results in hand so if I say something like I did it's because I already know the answer. The rollout shows it to be a take and I certainly don't think it's anywhere near TG. Could it turn into TG? Yea, of course, but if we're allowed to use magic and vision into the future in our bg games that just isn't fair. It's not TG because of what can happen.

Apparently, Stick lost this match, and yet he will maintain that he played the cube perfectly.

Lol - I don't only post positions where I got the answer correct or from matches I lost. I won this match and quite easily. I also made the wrong choice from what the bot rollout says and I dropped this cube. I never play the cube perfectly according to the bots unless I'm playing a bot. My intention is never to play perfect cube play, I've briefly stated that elsewhere. I will drop hugely gammonish positions for my opponent such as this when it's a thin take unless I'm playing someone who I thinks plays as well as I do.

I would like to play the checkers almost perfectly according to bot rollouts though. Checker error rate 0.0 would be fine with me, cube error rate should not be.

My question is, how did this position get to be this position with the cube in the middle??? You just rolled 55 or 66 or something?

I have no idea of the sequence before Carter is on roll here. I believe he had either another point to clear or possibly didn't have the near perfect home board structure he has now. Needless to say with my solid forward structure this is a must double, I'm happy if he plays on, I want him to give me a free sequence - not doubling is a .05 error and even a larger error if you have some chump opponent like myself who is willing to give you a point instead of risk the potential gammon loss and 4 points at the beginning of a match.
