Making the bar leaves eight shots and is the weaker point structurally of your two alternatives. Making the four point leaves your distribution much more fluid and is only thirteen shots. It also is much scarier offensively and when you are hit you don't particularly care since your opponent has made no tangible offensive improvements. Four point is my choice.
