Also to be considered is whether this game, after he takes and we play DMP is more or less complicated than a new game ?...ie he has 28.2% ME if he passes, but can he win this position 28.2% or more vs me ?

Right, this is what I mean. AFAIK no one has any answers here, no rollouts, no bot evals, no analysis, no nothing.

Not that rollouts are particularly easy. GNU is buggy with noise in rollouts. Snowie can't even do ELO-adjusted rollouts. And neither bot can make ELO-adjusted evals.

I believe you are correct to not cube him before the 22, but honestly that is not an easy question to answer either. Suppose your opponent adopts the strategy of always taking at -2, -2 unless he has a very clear pass and always doubling whenever he becomes a favorite. You can't really gain much by not doubling almost immediately.
