ME cube

Well, if you don't sweat much taking a 4 cube, imagine how dry you will be if the cube stays on 2? At least the leader has to experience SOME apprehension exposed to shot on a 4 cube when his opponent has a 6 prime.
That is the beginning to the story:
How I lost when I was leading 16-2!
It is at this point the leader begins to doubt his sanity about doubling in the first place with such a big lead, and you want some doubt to creep in at least. If you don't redouble, he doesn't even experience the slightest discomfort, regret or self doubt. He is snug as a bug in a rug. Hit the rug with a 4 cube, then hit his blot with your dice and play for that 5% gammon like Stick said in this thread.
To make em sweat, you have to turn up the heat, grasshopper.
Nothing else has gone right for you, and at some point you must assume that everything else will go right, or you are going to lose.
