I disagree. Harvey didn't state the form of discretion and furthermore, he said specifically "new players".

I don't read his sentence as giving discretion exclusively for matches with new players. I read his sentence as giving discretion in all cases, PARTICULARLY for matches with new players. That's status quo.

We need unity and cooperation, not nitpicking and sniping. Otherwise the real status quo of clocks selectively being implemented only after the tournament is already delayed will be the future.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. I've heard all kinds of arguments against clocks. They are all terrible arguments.

So, fine. When the anti-clock crowd stops with their inane rebuttals to clock usage, I'll join in with unity and cooperation.
