I have to disagree with you here. With a 5 point prime from 6 to 2 and him having no board I think you should leave a blot on the ace while bringing in your other checkers because the risk of him anchoring up seems minimal.

Example :

The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 0, user 0

Move number 4: gnubg to play 64

In this pos snowie 4 3ply wants to make the 1 point, but imo it looks clear to just leave a blot slotted.
