I'll take the 16 point and slot the nine.

The sixteen is a great bridging point here; it will keep pressure on White's midpoint whilst allowing us to release our own for building a board.

White hasn't made an inner board point yet, so I'm confident of anchoring shortly. We now trail significantly in the race, so I'm thinking I'd rather anchor on the four point with a gap in front than be up on the five point - the deeper coverage is better. Usually, one disadvantage of holding the four point rather than the five point is that it does not give a direct shot at a blot on the eleven point, but if we also hold the sixteeen point that is not the case.
