Neil.. yes but this gets rid of the weirdness of having the LC start as 9 pters and finish with 7 pointers. Also there's a whole lot of BG played by those progressing into the LC and some may appreciate the shorter match and more time off in between to rest, eat, smoke, or even make some progress in a side event match.
