clear as mud for me. I know 6/1 is not correct. 10/9 10/6 doesn't seem right either.

Is this time for a trap play where you want to get hit? try to pick up another checker and close your board? If so, 9/4 gives some decent distribution, and allows 4s to play for white. Again, this doesn't feel right either....

8/4 8/7 is what I'd play OTB. It gives a nice distribution, and still blocks 4s and 5s, 3s play nicely for white anyway, so make him use some of his 3s (34, 35, to force him out, leaving a blot in his inner board which will make hitting loose a lot more appealing.
