Have you read my "clock experiment" article posted yesterday on Backgammon GALORE (Tom K.'s site)?

Yes.

Your analysis of 155 7-point matches shows that 148, or 95.5%, were completed in less than 80 minutes of clocked time. I note also your comment that "Thus it is unlikely that any match actually took longer than 90 minutes." 10-15 minutes extra for non-clocked time seems about right (one or two 5 minute breaks, plus 5 minutes or so to set up the pieces about 5 times).

Interestingly, the average number of games in your 7-point matches was 5.9. Compare http://www.bkgm.com/rgb/rgb.cgi?view+712 where the average number of games in 7-point matches in the BG Blitz collection was 5.
