I like your announcement for this problem and hope that you have rollout. Anyway QF is so strong for me here so move like 13/1 come to my mind for a sec.
What is Blue's games plan or how he could win this game? After move he is 17 pips behind in race. Not hopeless for race.
Switching inside board in order to preserve midpoint and keep some contact is possible but a little bit fancy and kill one checker and make acept too early.
After clearing midpoint Blue is commit to holding game with White having good prospect to make 5pt and bring his position home. Also Blue could has some problems with timing but such plan looks to me KISS.
Another question is what about advancing last back checker? Does it can help to avoid crunching front position or will only make White's life easier now, when he can play behind Blue's anchor?
Well, I like to preserve homeboard bcuz it is Blue's strenght in this position. So I don't like to ruin it with switch plays so Blue should keep 6pt. Also midpoint has to be given. Leaving one checker there in order to keep contact only leave direct shot and put us in backgame with only 50 pips deficit (read more gammon losts with cube on 2). With open White's 5pt and spare on anchor and additional back checker on 24pt Blue best chance is to play 2+1 anchor game so preserve board, clear midpoint, leave back checker where it is and hope to roll six soon (or 51) to escape with spare over prime is my game plan here.
13/4 13/10 or 13/7(2) ... maybe 13/4 13/10 gives better diversification. After making barpt we duplicate our six. Also 13/4 gives us good ace.
