Interesting position. White is about to break his anchors, and blue's game plan must be to attack at that point. The two blots in white's home board means that blue might consider volunteering a shot now by playing 8/4(2). Still, white knows he is in trouble and will be happy to hit I think, as this is his possibility to surf through the outfield unharmed. Hit and cover one must be very good for white. My play would be 21/13 21/17(2). That leaves two spares for blue in case white can play in his inner board next roll, and checkers on the 17 are about as good gate keepers as on the 21.
