In Response To: Opening roll - post Crawford (David Rockwell)

Ray & Bart Brooks published a book on this with rollout results. Not sure if I feel comfortable repeating their results. I imagine that many of the close rollouts in that book are actually TCTC.

I'd be interested in the rollouts & results, though. My general feeling is that when leader wins the opening roll he should make the DMP play, except in the case of rolling 64 or a slotting number. When trailer rolls 31 and leader doesn't make a point, he is TG, 42 is often but not always TG, 61 is rarely TG, and everything else is never TG if played correctly.

At any rate I am definitely interested from a theoretical point of view but in practical terms the equity at stake here is probably minimal.
