GNU rollout

Thanks for rolling this one out Neil, and I am quite sure you are right that I have taken worse during the year...
Actually I have a theory about taking, and I believe that I ought to be taking positions up to and including a value of something on the order of 1.05. In that context this double at 1.073 courtesy of your rollout is pretty close to the borderline.
The point is, that the best players play about 2 error rate while we expect the bots to play below 1. My opponent who gave this admittedly good double might have been playing at 3 or 4 checker error rate, even though this is a relatively easy position to play...
Regardless if it was right against him or not, it was a pass and I paid for it. But I missed a couple of shots. Maybe the bot would have only left 1, because it would have played the bearin better. Or, it would take a redouble I could later push my human opponent off of. Whatever advantage your human opponent is going to give you most certainly should loosen your take point above that which the bot can tolerate, because they, [humans], can't derive the same equity from the position that the bots can.
See the bot, see the bot drop the cube.
See Ray, see Ray take a pass
See Ray's pocket, isn't it fat?
Anyway... This was even closer than the rollout and even though I wish I had passed it now, I have won a lot of matches taking cubes like this, (and worse)!
