I agree that you should generally give your opponents easy decisions instead of close ones. However it is not at all obvious what you should do in this situation. If Wilcox is really substantially better than you then he should indeed pass the 2-roll position, but of course he has to take the 3-roll since 8% is way too much to give up.

Anyway I doubt that you made an error in redoubling here, despite losing the match. I am not sure what I would do here were I playing Neil.

Does anyone know what ELO corresponds to what Snowie ER?
