At some point it becomes right, I guess, and that is a subject solved by Trice and Jacobs. If you do the right thing and take the above cube, at least you will have the bots on your side. Passing this cube leaves you down 7-3 and that is pretty bad even against a fishy. Especially since you know that what you are doing is mathematically incorrect.

With all due respect, and I have plenty for you and your game Sam, at some point you have to draw the line and do what experts know to do and take. I am no so good at estimating my ELO advantage, and even if I could, I didn't memorize Jakes chart. I MIGHT give up equity to this particular fish if I take this cube, but I KNOW I am giving up equity to the math gods if I don't. Which fate do you want to tempt? I only beat the fishies 70% anyway, and alot of that is because I know to take this redouble. I don't know that I can remember just how bad my opp has to be to pass this but I assume it will be an easy decision at that time. Otherwise, if I am hemming and hawing over this, I might just as well take... Or risk the ridicule of the bots and my peers!

I don't take 1.05 passes because my opponent doesn't play perfectly, I take them because humans don't play perfectly.

Therefore, 1.05 becomes, on average, perhaps 0.950 and anyone who passes LOSES equity. Your humble servant...
