I felt with the 5 pt open, me having a good board and some timing and being down only 16 pips that I could win about 73-74% cubeless and that meant close take for me at this score. I am certainly aware of what my TP is, but there's that huge recube vig here. I am also aware that my recube vig is greater in a straight race than in a holding game since sometimes I hit him with a great board and he's dead, which overkills my added recube vig. Once in a while I may be able to gain a bit recubing on a single shot with extras but that isn't a big gain.

Had my opp been weaker, I'd have given him a pt here and hoped that he'd end up at BK a couple times playing from -2-4. That course of action is likely to have been my best chance to win the match anyhow.
