Being hit now would be very unfortunate, just as white is about to give something away. Then again, playing 6/4 6/1 means any future hits for blue will not nearly be as lethal as they should be. Then again, the difference between 11 shots (after 9/4 9/7) and 0 shots is big. A really tough decision, I might go for 6/4 6/1, with the game plan of hitting white later and winning the race from there.
