I don't think that getting 4 pips closer to home at the risk of being pointed on this roll can be right, and might lose more gammons than it saves. I see the choice as between 7/3 6/5 and 7/3 2/1. I prefer 2/1 because of the times you run in last roll with x and 1. If you hit later with two homeboard blots that's no big deal either since with that many off for blue that would be favorable at least for the point of view of picking up a second blot, if nor for saving the gammon.
