Depending on what % of my stack it was, whether I was last to act or not (are you assuming I'm in the BB w/44 and the short stack pushes or that there are still others to act after me?) So if a short stack pushes depending on what position they pushed from would determine whether or not I call. If they pushed from the button, sure, I'd grudgingly call. I don't like calling a push w/44 either. I'm also assuming the Hellmuth factor, which is thinking that no matter what table I'm at I'm better than half the fish there, avoid the races and when I do get into them, make them call me, not the inverse.
