...but I won't play it. In addition to wasting 4 pips in the G race, it sort of commits White to wasting more pips next time to cover at least one of the blots. (You can leave the home board as-is, figuring to cover one with the same roll that hits, but I don't like it. Sometimes you roll a 6.) And there's a real cost to making the ace point. Your shot is likely to come when Blue has 10-12 off, and you'd really like to have five (or six!) in a row to try and shake loose another checker.

6/1 (or 7/3 6/5) is a reasonable try, but I think White has legitimate chances to just run off the gammon, so I'll play 24/19, keeping my priming options alive without wasting any pips.
