4 off, 4/3*. I hit for two reasons: First to maximize the backgammon chances, adding two more crossovers to White's task, the shots are equal and it is actually safer than taking the other checker off because now White cannot make the 3 point blocking aces, which would result in another shot.

Secondly, the more blots White has up the more time blue has to scamper around the board in the event he gets hit this turn.
