Rounding errors...

To 4 places my posted total of 34.24 is actually slightly lower than my true exact total of 34 and 24/99 or to 4 places 34.2424

I think Richard cashed in 3 events making it impossible that the roundoff errors could let him catch up. Richard with a posted total of 34.22 would gain .024 from rounding. The 34.22 could be as high as 34.225 meaning he would need to gain .0174 from rounding errors. A bound on the rounding error is is .005 giving a maximum potential gain of .015
