Rounding errors...

Yes, I also wondered about this and also calculated that Bob is the legitimate third place holder with 34.2424 vs 34.2222 for me.

I did ask Pat Gibson whether I could retroactively withdraw from the tournament. Apparently there is no provision for that. Go figure.

Not only was I the victim of my own appearance in LA, but also the victim of the 96 player cap rule. Had my points for winning Consolation in Las Vegas been based on the actual 98 initial entries to that event instead of the cap of 96, I'd have had an extra 0.3 ABT points. This cap reduced points awarded to winners in Las Vegas, even though the top finishers received fewer points than those in Michigan where there were only 94 players (uncapped). That is in part because Michigan pays 9 places while LV pays 10.

There are many imbalances in the ABT system. I'll be the first to admit that my win in Thousand Islands this year awarded me more points than it was worth (in my opinion) due to the fact that only 3 places were paid for 35 entries.

Congrats to UBK for an incredible year (and coming so very close to a much bigger ABT trophy on Sunday)!
