Easy GNU Question - Exporting Text

In Response To: Easy GNU Question - Exporting Text (Frank_N_Stein)

The only type of picture it'll save as is a .png

Once the picture is located I'm able to choose Open with and select Word, but I'm not able to choose Send to and select Word. (it's not an option)

When I try to open with Word it comes out garbled text.
