Really? I'm surprised. (I don't have Snowie.)
GNU uses a different definition: a position is too good if roller's no-double equity is greater than his double/pass equity (or: ND > 1). I like it. It captures the idea that you're not doubling because of your gammon wins. Too-good/take distinguishes a very different class of positions from the usual set of no-double/takes; it's a useful label.
It may be that I'm partly influenced by years of seeing Kit Woolsey use the phrase "too good and not good enough" in his analysis. It does seem like a helpful way to talk about matchscore situations.
