Agreed. The gammon factor may be huge in properly understanding cube dynamics. The problem I have with that alternative definition is that a nearly identical position having an undoubled equity of 0.999 that is still a take once gammons are killed is what? Suddenly not too good anymore? Clearly in that case you are not turning the cube because there are too many gammons there. So the dynamics are identical, but the cube action label is different. Using an artificial equity boundary of 1.0 is useless in terms of understanding the situation.

The only situation I would concede that the label Too Good/Take could make sense is one where we are inside the doubling window based on wins alone, and it would be a correct double/take if gammons were not counted, yet by improving the situation by scoring the gammons it becomes wrong to double. That would tell us something.
