Snowie uses 'export' to create .mat files. Snowie calls this 'Standard Text Format' and uses .txt as the suffix instead of .mat. It doesn't use the 'save as' idea; it's under Export. Snowie can import this format as well.

This .mat format (for positions or matches) is the one shared interface format to use between Gnu and Snowie.
