At gammonsave it's clear to build 4p.

Otherwise it's pretty close and impossible to make a mistake here.

I like building the 4p. as it nails down a solid asset. Eventhough white has a lot of good numbers, he can't do everything at once. He can't both build a new point AND safety his blot on our barpoint. So the diversion in hitting is not so important.

Besides the tempo it gains, the hitting play also unstacks the vety heavy midpoint. But my play is building the 4p. If whites blot on the 24p. was on the 23p., I'd hit giving white some bad 6s. Hitting here doesn't give white bad 6s.
