Green has easy play, no need to worry of making big blunders with checker play. Can take because of huge racing advantage. Threats are many, but all in unknown future. White has easy play too and advantage, of which lots lays in having the initiative.

As I'm an 5.5 - 6.5 player (advanced?) and wanna try strategic approaches to move up in food chain. Take against world-class players (ok experts too :), big cube + cube access is good. Their superior skill matters less. Pass when playing against people with less skill difference.
