Blue can double because he owns the 5 point and can be creative in his checker play in order to destroy White's timing. Since White doesn't have a spare to run from the back his timing is already short, but he can probably get enough equity from large doubles to give him a take anyway.

D/T, but you don't have to like taking too much if it makes you feel any better.
