OTB I thought bar/16 was nextish since 6/2 looks sick. After bar/16 I was hit with 2/1, danced, opp 66 dance, then opp two 53's as I danced and was G'd. Next game my opp doubled a mid pt bar pt holding game lacking his 8 pt when he was at best a 55% fav. He found out what happens when he rolls less than a 7 a few times and ruined his board..ie match to Neil.
This position would never have been mentioned except for my opp asking if he'd erred and when I said yes, his Persian friends chimed in that I also made a mistake and referred to this position. I'd have played bar/16 at pure GS to be honest.
Anyhow..I've been around enough BG in So Cal over the years to be unconcerned if a couple Persians are standing a bit back from the board softly chatting in Farsi about the game. My opp was also a fine gentleman and played a decent game, although he butchered the game trailing 11-10.
