Being friends with both of you for over 25 years I won't pull any punches.

1) Re: the clock situation w/Norm (also a longtime friend, although I see less of him than I do you, or especially Ray) I don't think that you were trying to fuck him on time, but we players have an ethical obligation to try to avoid situations. You pointed out that Norm's clock was running..Pat was busy elsewhere..you have two logical choices..1) add 2 or 3 minutes to Norm's clock ..or 2) get Pat no matter what. Since I don't know how to add time to a digital clock, I'd wait for Pat and once he decides, there's no more bad feelings or incidents.
2) Your non shaking and fast dice scooping vs Norm really wasn't fair play unless he's doing it also. But do to his condition, he really can't do it. You can certainly shake dice one and dump them in a second or two and that is what you should've done as long as Norm was shaking.
3) If you announced the score as 12-9 when it sb 12-8 and Ray heard you and agreed, either he made an honest mistake or was taking a shot at you. Were you guys also using one of those big score cards that goes by the side of the board ? It makes real sense to use one and to agree with your opp after each game that the displayed score is correct. Ray, I will assume that you weren't paying attention or simply screwed up if you heard Joe announce 12-9.
4) Joe you made a mistake in scoring and then stopped the clock to pass. This is time to be really appologetic and explain things to your opp. If my score sheet had correctly stated 12-8 while your's had 12-9 and then I vaguely recalled you say 12-9, I'd have let you slide here. However, in Ray's defense, watching your non shakes vs Norm likely pushed him over the edge and he was within the rules and his rights to insist that you'd pass.
