If Bronstein TC's are used there is rarely any drama unless a player moves VERY slowly and thinks too long commonly.

However, as occured in an LA 5 pt weekly T match using analog TC's, there was plenty of drama. It seems to me that Norm may have actually had enough time given back to him by Joe's pausing and the extra 30 seconds added later, bur regardless of that, note that Joe almost ran out of time.

Patrick is a smart guy and a great director, and somehow I expect that he's thinking about TC's right now for his weekly event and that they'll try normal Bronstein 12 sec + 10min for 5 pt matches. If after a couple evenings of that, the events end a bit too late, then it would make sense to try 12 sec+ 8 min.

My point is that rarely is the clock and issue when there's 12 seconds delay time.
