Two comments here:

1) You'll often see me compare scores or announce the score or look at my opp's score sheet to make sure it compares. Why is that ? Well it is to avoid situations !!

2) I'd try to refrain from rolling a die prior to going to the bathroom, but I realize there were circumstances here so I'd make damn sure that your opp and at least a couple kibs (better yet the director) know that your rolled 6 is for the start of the game and was rolled by YOU.
