Now you're pushing the envelope (and making a rather sub-optimal choice). Since you can't bear off checkers in that situation, the checkers are simply removed from play. The rules are now pretty explicit that checkers removed from play illegally, are out of play, but not borne off and you can still be gammoned. So the game must continue. With no more checkers on the board to move, you will be forced to pass your turn until your opponent has taken his checkers off and you are gammoned as you haven't borne one off yourself.
