you need to come up with a term half as cool as "sabermetrics"
This reminds me of a (true) story I read about a long time ago. During the late 70's or early 80's there was a woman who had a start up tech company in Silicon Valley. This was the dark ages of tech, so any new application you could come up with you ought to be able to sell, so long as it worked, and maybe even that wasn't a needed qualification (I'm semi-serious).
I forget the name of the entrepreneur/CEO, as well as the company. But their product had something to do with inventory management for manufacturing if memory serves. She had a formal name for the product, but internally it was called MA/MA. Once they had their software product (on an HP platform [initially anyway], don't ask me what), they went around and tried to sell it. They found it tough going at first to sell MA/MA, it seems that the men (and they were all men) in charge of these manufacturing operations were turned off by the idea of a product called MA/MA, but when/if they got the chance to talk about it to them and let them try it, they were enthusiastic about what it actually accomplished, name not withstanding.
Then someone got the bright idea to change the acronym to MAN/MAN, on the theory that these macho guys would be more receptive to it with that name. It then started selling like hotcakes. True story.
