In Response To: delayed response, sorry. (Coolrey)

Your right Ray, there were two arguments and neither was about the ruling, that was more of a discussion. The facts of what happened in our match were clear. There was no disagreement over that. The argument ensued when you stated that I had taken a shot at Norm earlier and was now taking a shot at you. What shot was I taking at you by asking for a ruling? Was I not entitled to due process? I was using a clock for about the fifth time in my life. I had never read the rules. As it turns out, centering the clock at the time you doubled could have been done to call the director over set the score straight before I acted on the cube. But, since that was not my intent and I had no other reason to center the clock, after reading the rules, I accepted the ruling. For you to bring Norm into the discussion was out of line. You grossly misrepresented what happened in the match with Norm, then and here in this forum. You were apparently unaware of some of the facts. I could go through the list of things you said that were not accurate, but I have already done that. You admitted that you were unaware of some of what had transpired when you stated in this forum that I had apparently been more fair than you thought. The non-shaking at the very end of the match I have addressed. I accept fault for that. It was competitive instinct. Most of the rest of what you say is misleading or untrue.

The second argument ensued when I said to you that I did not appreciate you accusing me of taking shots and bringing the Norm match into the conversation. You stated something about my laughing at Norm after the match. Then I said you are a damned liar. You challenged me to go outside and we both stood up. You stated in this forum my calling you a liar was over my denying that I said Norm spilled the drink. I never did that. Another misrepresentation! The night it happened I said, as a joke, when people came up and asked what happened as we were cleaning up the mess ; 'Oh, you can't trust Norm in public' It was a joke and was followed by what really happened. Why would I have any reason to deny this. It was lighthearted. I stated in my first posting regarding this; 'The first part of the story is accurate concerning the spilled drink, Norm's kindness, the joke, etc.'

As far as you suggesting that I would touch your die or move it to my side of the board, that is insulting and ludicrous. Pat was there the whole time you were gone. I did not and would not do that. I am not sure what happened or what you think happened.

Peoples reputations are built on their actions. We both have reputations. Mine stands for itself. So does yours.

I will apologize to you for calling you a bold faced liar when I thought I had read something about you saying I had rolled too, I must have misunderstood that. I am not going to read through all of this again, but if you never said that I apologize.

Also, if you have never had a problem with Dennis Culpepper I regret that I used his name, I was told you that in Pittsburgh in 2001 you called over the director and accused Paul Weaver and Dennis Culpepper of consulting during your match with Paul. Two people I have known for a very long time, neither of which have ever had their integrity questioned, to my knowledge. If that never happened, I apologize.
