Okay Joe... Now that cooler heads have prevailed, evidently, it is time to put this thing to rest.
I had intended for my most recent posts to be my last on this subject, I was just tired of going back and forth over it.
As for the dice roll... I merely stated the facts as I saw them. I rolled, after we sat down and set up the board, then you continued to ask Pat for clarifications. I had little to add to that particular discussion and went to the bathroom. When I got back, my die was on the other side of the board, and so was yours. I don't think I ever said you moved it, but of course that could easily be inferred as my meaning. I can't say it because I didn't see it. From your standpoint it may well seem insulting and ludicrous, but from mine it seemed like the only plausible explanation. It still does! However, it seems to me that without a video tape the only reasonable course of action is to give you the benefit of the doubt.
If the same thing happened to you, you would not have been happy either!
If Paul Weaver is still bitching about something that happend in 2001, well he ought to have thought about that before attacking my character, unprovoked, in the first place, (behind my back). No need to get into all those details here. If YOU remember from 2001 what he said, then you have a better memory than I do! I certainly would have objected to Paul discussing any position from my match with a kibitzer, it is against the rules after all. Dennis and I have had no fallout over it, I know that much.
Most people will probably be astonished to read that in retrospect it seems to me that I might well have handled this situation better myself. So, what else is new? Life goes on.
