I think we are in agreement.
Perhaps duplication was a poor choice of words, but again, to me duplication is just a visual shortcut rather than an end unto itself. Once you start counting rolls it's clear that the critical ones are 13, 11, 43, 41, and 44, and then it also becomes apparent that 20/15 gives one extra hitting number but one less double hitting number. These somewhat balance although I think the double hitting 44 is worse than the single hitting 11.
Critical factor here seems to be the covering elevens, which don't contain a 4 or a 3. Tens don't buy any covers.
In fact duplication could only be argued to the extent that it gives white the opportunity to blunder by hitting on the other side of the board.
Definitely not what I was arguing, I'd expect even a novice to make the right plays 99% of the time here.
