make the 3 point. with the enemy bar and his weak board, your position is quite robust. all that remains is to make (and hold lest we not forget 44) our bar (or 1 point) to virtually claim. if white hits, he has blots (usually) and is out boarded with no anchor. attacking on the 1 is a bit of an overplay and lacks the reward that making the 3 gives us. --- what's with the "cleaver" bit anyway --- wally and the beaver?
