No, wait a minute Regis, can I take that back? Just wrote up (and then deleted) what I think was a rather lucid explanation of why I think this is clearly the right play to make at gammon-save. Only one problem with my logic. Just noticed it is gammon-go.

Never mind.

So the 7/1* hit which was a "let me go strap on my suicide vest" play a moment ago warrants some serious consideration here as its biggest flaw was all of the gammon losses which we no longer care about. Busting the prime and leaving the shot has got to sacrifice lots of wins here, but its going to win the most gammons for sure, and they're worth as much as those losses. Not really sure how the balance tips.

If I'm playing a WC player, I think I'm going for the match here and playing 7/1*. If I'm playing a weaker player, I'm going to try to win this game and take my chances on completing the comeback later(10/4).
