If I hit on entering, there are no use in covering and leaving tons of shots anyway, so the number to go with the hit seems to be 9/5* - trying for both points in the good variations. If I don't hit on entering, a hit doesn't buy too much, so then some cover may be called for - and 9/7 cleaning up two blots and leaving just 20 shots as opposed to 27 looks good even if it doesn't make the board point.

Anyway, when 20 shots have to be left anyway, I'd go for two blots on the roof and two half points made.
